Hi! My name is Tara and I live in Pacific Beach in a 3 bedroom home. I live with my husband Jason and our 3 kids; Claire 8, Addie 6, and Jed 3.5 years old. We all love animals but currently don’t have any pets. We are looking to add a dog to our family. Our dilemma…what breed? By caring for your dog, you will help us find the perfect dog (breed) to make our family complete. We prefer small to medium sized dogs but aren’t opposed to large, well-mannered, kid friendly dogs. I am a full time Mom so other than shuttling the kids to school and activities, I am home all day. We have an amazing, huge back yard that your dog will have full access to.

Since we were young boys, My Brother Rich and I have had pets…primarily dogs but cats too. We’ve had German Shepherds, Labradors and some great cats. Our last dog, a Lab just passed away at a ripe old age this year. We and our roommate Evelyn are all lifelong animal lovers and would very much enjoy the company of other family pets. We will treat their animals as we would treat our own.

Hi! My name is Lisa, and I live the Normal Heights/Kensington area. I own a two-bedroom, two-bath condo in a gated, pet-friendly community, and I have a small enclosed back yard area. I am life-long animal lover, and I have two friendly Maltese-Poodle mixes (rescues) named Jake and Riley who love having 4-legged company. I work full-time from home, so I am home during the day to keep your baby company. I have been pet-sitting on a part-time basis since 2006. I look forward to opening my home to your babies, and provide you piece of mind while you are away.

I grew up around animals. I am from a family of animal lovers. My cat “Doodle” was with me for 17 years and I loved her dearly. (I am experienced with administering medications including injections and subcutaneous fluids.) Now I have my sweet cat Chloe who likes to lick my face. My little dog “Scroogie” is a bundle of energy. We go for walks and have many toys at home. He loves to play with other dogs. My friend Carrie likes to say that “Scroogie has more clothes than me!” I work in a dog friendly environment and everyone brings their dogs to work every day. It has a large securely fenced yard where the dogs play and snooze all day. I look forward to giving your precious pets a home away from home and you peace of mind!

I am single and own a home in North Park in San Diego. I moved here in 1989 for a position as an Occupational Therapist/Head Injury Clinical Specialist at Sharp Hospital. Since then I have been a Regional Vice President for Sun Healthcare and I am currently developing my own recruiting company from home. I also have a fused art glass business that I do from a studio at home.
I have owned several dogs during my childhood. I trained a dog to be a companion for my Dad during late stages of Alzheimer’s and then for my mom who lived alone. Many of my friends have dogs and when visiting me, they always bring them. I also care for their dogs and cats when they go away for vacations etc. My experience is with many different breeds and sizes of animals.
Until recently I have not had the time to devote to an animal of my own but instead, I have cared for many of my friend’s pets, mostly dogs when needed. Sometimes they visit for a day but also, as long as a week or more. My closest friend has a Siberian husky who stays here when he leaves town and comes over regularly for the day so she can get attention and time to play. I’m used to having animals around. I enjoy them and my home is perfect for them. With the yard fenced in, I usually leave the doors open so they can run and play as much as they like.
I drive an SUV and when I go out for errands, I often take the dog or dogs with me if they want. Walks in the neighborhood are easy and safe and trips to dog parks are a regular event. I welcome the opportunity to host your pets in my home.

Hi! We just moved to San Diego a few months ago when Adam got a job at the Salk Institute. I work from home so I can provide lots of attention and affection for your pet. Our 2 bedroom apartment has a large securely fenced patio that your pet will have access to all day. We also take our dog “Piglet” (and your dog too) on a walk twice a day.
Piglet was a rescue dog and she still has some abandonment issues. Taking her to a kennel is a stressful experience for both of us. So I love this idea of providing a different option to pet parents. We’ be delighted to make your pet feel safe, secure and loved while you are away.

I have been around animals all my life. We have always had cats and my mom was involved with Great Dane Rescue. Jim was born on a farm and has always loved all animals. I have had many years of experience with animals. I have worked as a veterinary assistant so I am experienced at giving injections, subcutaneous fluids, oral and topical medications to both dogs and cats. We currently have a very friendly cat named “Poppers”. He has been around both dogs and cats with no problems. I was diagnosed with MS three years ago and I now enjoy being home and working from home. We are very reliable and dependable people and we would love to get the chance to meet you and host your precious pets.
